An Endangered Child Alert has been issued for a missing 1-year-old boy in East Tennessee who investigators said was taken by his noncustodial father Saturday.
The child, Dakota James Smith, is white, weighs 27 pounds, is 3' tall and has red hair and brown eyes.
Dakota was last seen by his mother Saturday when his noncustodial father, Tayler James Smith stated he was taking Dakota to see family in the area.
The TBI said they may possibly be in a blue 1991 Acura Integra with a Tennessee tag of 854GSF and "747" stickers on the windows.
The last contact the mother had with Smith was at 1 a.m. Monday when he sent a text message stated he was not returning with the child.
The TBI said Tayler Smith does not have the adequate supplies for Dakota and custodial interference warrants have been issued for his arrest.
