Two suspects remain at large this morning after attempting to steal an ATM outside a west Franklin grocery store.
Police were called to the Harris Teeter in the Westhaven Subdivision just after 4 a.m. after employees noticed the men acting suspiciously.
The suspects abandoned a vehicle they had stolen from Nashville, which was found backed up to the ATM outside the store. Chains were found in the back of the truck, leading officers to believe the suspects were attempting to steal the ATM.
Officers searched the area but could not find the suspects.
Police are looking for the two suspects, said to be black males last seen wearing dark colored jackets and stocking caps. A handgun is believed to be missing from the stolen truck, indicating the suspects could be armed.
