A Nashville man said he was taken for a ride by a business promising big money for him by using his car for advertising.
Mike Miller said he found a business on Craigslist claiming it would pay him $400 a week for putting an advertising decal on his car.
Miller said the company claimed it was working with Red Bull.
He said it offered to send him a check for $2,000 to deposit in his bank account, keep $400, and wire the rest to a specialist to detail the car.
Miller said once he sent the money, he never heard from the company again.
Red Bull said it has nothing to do with the company and has had reports of the same problem in other cities.
It said emails about advertising placed on cars should be ignored.
