NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
Transportation officials will shut down part of Interstate 40 this weekend to make repairs in downtown Nashville.
Officials will close the westbound lanes where I-40 splits with Interstate 24 starting at 5 a.m. Saturday.
The closure is scheduled to repair a bridge that was damaged by an oversized trailer back in September. A track hoe fell off the truck, bending a steal beam on the bridge.
The road will reopen by rush hour Monday morning.
