
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - The Memphis Police Department says an officer responding to a call of an armed robbery at a McDonald's fast food restaurant shot and killed a suspect.
According to preliminary information provided by the department, officers got a call a little after 4 p.m. Thursday about the robbery by two armed suspects at a McDonald's on Frayser Boulevard. When police arrived, 1 of the armed suspects was shot by an officer and pronounced dead on the scene.
Police are searching for other suspects believed to be involved in the robbery, including a suspect who fled on foot into a wooded area nearby and a female believed to have been driving a brown Ford Taurus and who drove away when officers arrived.
