BOWLING GREEN, KY (WSMV) -
A Sumner County prisoner who escaped this week is back in custody.
Stevie Robertson, 35, was granted permission to take his father-in-law to a doctor's appointment in Bowling Green, KY. However, when the two stopped for lunch, he ran away.
Authorities finally caught him at a hotel in Horse Cave, KY, late Thursday night.
A maintenance worker tipped off police after recognizing Robertson from a television news report.
Robertson was serving time in the Sumner County Jail for vandalism charges and was convicted in 2009 for sexual exploitation of a minor.
