An Antioch couple still grieving from burying their son last week took time out to continue a Christmas tradition.
Jack and Janice Welchance volunteered and fed the homeless and those who are less fortunate a holiday meal at the Journey Home in Murfreesboro on Christmas Day.
This is the fourth year in the row they have spent part of their Christmas helping others.
The menu consisted of soup, chili, turkey sandwiches and salad.
"I'll be home with my family this afternoon and we'll have Christmas, but this is Christmas to me, we are honored to be here," Janice Welchance said.
The couple normally teams up with Allen Wang from Chef Wang's Chinese restaurant who donates food to serve on Mondays.
Chef Wang's also provided soup for Tuesday's Christmas meal.
