SHELBYVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
Bedford County authorities are investigating a threat against schools.
The school system sent a message to parents saying there was a threat made and police are checking out the threat.
Schools dismissed for the holidays at 10 a.m. today. The School-Age Care Program, the county's after-school care program, has been placed on lockdown.
Bedford authorities were notified by Lebanon officials after a threat was found on a bathroom wall of a Lebanon truck stop.
According to Bedford County authorities, the threat specifically mentioned a playground.
