GREENBRIER, TN (WSMV) -

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and police in Robertson County arrested a man overnight who is accused of making threats toward law enforcement.

Police said James Larry Beard, 45, called a Department of Human Resources office around noon Tuesday and stated he was going to "shoot the place up."

The TBI investigated and found that Beard expressed anger toward the government and law enforcement.

Police later located Beard walking along Interstate 65.

While he was being transported to the Robertson County Sheriff's Office, police said Beard threatened to kill one of the TBI agents who was investigating him.

Beard was charged with harassment and booked into the Robertson County Jail without bond. He has been scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
