NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
A Metro police officer was involved in a pileup on Interstate 40 near Stewarts Ferry Pike overnight.
Just before midnight, a car hit a wall and collided with a truck. A police officer pulled over and turned on his emergency lights.
A short time later, another car sideswiped the truck and plowed into the patrol car.
That driver was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence.
No one was seriously hurt.
