A Powerball player in Brentwood is going to have a much merrier Christmas, with a $1 million win Saturday night.
According to lottery officials, the lucky player matched all five white balls to win the second-place prize of $1 million in the popular game.
This was the 99th ticket sold in Tennessee worth $1 million or more since the lottery's inception.
No additional information is available until the player redeems the prize.
In other news, a $35 million Mega Millions jackpot ticket was purchased in California.
Since the Tennessee Education Lottery began selling tickets in 2004, it has raised more than $2.47 billion for specific education programs, including college scholarships and after-school programs.
