SHELBYVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
Three people were killed Tuesday evening in a multi-vehicle crash in Bedford County, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
The crash involved two cars around 4 p.m. near the intersection of State Highway 82 and Simmons Road.
A Ford Taurus driven by Eric S. Holestak, 44, of Murfreesboro, TN, was traveling north on the highway. A Honda Accord driven by Morris E. Parker, 71, of LaVergne, TN, was traveling south.
The Taurus traveled across the center line and struck the Accord head-on, according to the THP. Both vehicles came to rest near the intersection of Simmons Road.
Holestak and Parker died in the wreck. Mary B. Motlow, 62, of Lynchburg, TN, a passenger in the Accord, also died.
According to the Tullahoma News, Motlow was a former board member at a local Farmers Bank and relative of world-renowned whiskey distiller Jack Daniel.
The THP said everyone was using their seat belts. It's unclear if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash.
