Mother charged after falsely reporting missing children

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A mother is charged with falsely reporting that her three young children were missing Wednesday morning from a motel in south Nashville.

The mother, Jerri Mincey of Memphis, TN, reported around 8 a.m. that the children went missing from a Travelodge on Wallace Road.

Police said the children are safe in Memphis, and she made up the story.
