HENDERSONVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
Residents in Hendersonville are grieving the loss of a popular pediatrician who touched thousands of lives.
Dr. Helen Burks, 80, was a steady fixture in the community for more than 40 years and still ran a private practice full time. She died in a car crash Dec. 6.
She was still running her own practice and kept a schedule so demanding that even younger workers said she wore them out trying to keep up.
Burks' family will hold a memorial service Dec. 19 at the 7th Day Adventist Church in Madison.
