Father accused of making child stand for 15 hours

MURFREESBORO, TN (WSMV) -

A 3-year-old girl is in custody of the Department of Children's Services after police said her father physically abused her.

Murfreesboro police said Joseph Price would make his daughter stand in a corner for up to 15 hours.

Detectives said when Price spanked the girl, he would remove her diapers so it would hurt more.

Investigators reported the girl had injuries on her head, neck, back and legs.

According to police, Price also admitted he used a paddle to spank the child on at least one occasion.
