Franklin police arrested a woman overnight who they said nearly struck an officer with her car while making a getaway after shoplifting at CoolSprings Galleria.
Dabney Frey, 24, who is also known as Dabney Dean or Moe-Moe, was inside a parked car Saturday at the mall when a Franklin police officer identified himself and ordered Frey and two other women in the car to surrender.
Instead, police said, Frey accelerated the car in the direction of the officer, who jumped out of the way before being struck.
Frey is charged with aggravated assault.
