NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
A teenager suspected in the shooting death of an East Nashville man earlier this month is now in police custody.
Donald Floyd, 17, surrendered himself late Thursday night after making arrangements to meet officers in a parking lot on Dickerson Pike near Briley Parkway.
Floyd is suspected of killing Ambrose James Jr., 59, on Dec. 9 on Lenore Street.
James was known to sit outside his apartment and loan money to members of the community.
Floyd and James are believed to have been involved in an altercation that led to the gunfire.
