JACKSON, Tenn. (AP) - A student has died after having a medical crisis aboard a Jackson-Madison County school bus.
The Jackson Sun quoted school officials in reporting the student and his private nurse were riding the bus to Northeast Middle School when the emergency occurred Wednesday morning. The nurse immediately administered CPR. The bus driver and a special education assistant also tried to aid the child.
The boy was taken to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The name of the boy was not immediately released.
