CARTHAGE, TN (WSMV) -
A former Smith County High School cheerleading coach has been arrested for allegedly soliciting a minor.
Sabra Swaims Gentry, 35, of Brush Creek, TN, was indicted by the Smith County grand jury after investigators said she engaged in sexually explicit text messages and conversations with a minor last month.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said the minor involved is a male student at the high school, and Gentry resigned her part-time position at Smith County High School during the investigation.
The TBI began its investigation at the request of the district attorney. Channel 4 News checked with the Smith County sheriff's office to see if Gentry bonded out of jail, but officials would not release that information.
