GALLATIN, TN (WSMV) -
Officials have identified the two people who died in a wreck Monday morning south of Gallatin.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said two vehicles collided along Highway 109 near Northern Road just before 7 a.m.
Joannie Rucker, 52, and Dayton Lauderdale, 26, were pronounced dead after Rucker's vehicle drifted into the lane of oncoming traffic and struck Lauderdale's vehicle nearly head-on, according to the THP.
Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts, but THP investigators said neither vehicle showed any signs of braking before the collision.
