CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
A Clarksville woman who police said was driving the wrong way on Interstate 24 over the weekend was arrested for her second drunk driving charge in a week.
According to police reports, Jessica Lynn Fugate, 20, was arrested Friday in the eastbound lanes around 2:09 a.m.
Officers followed Fugate's vehicle about a mile before she finally pulled over, according to the report.
Fugate reportedly told police she did not realize she was traveling the wrong direction, and stated she had only drunk two glasses of wine at a Christmas party that afternoon.
The driver was given field sobriety tests and then taken into custody.
Fugate was previously charged with DUI on Nov. 24, according to police.
