NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
A motorcyclist who crashed last Sunday night in downtown Nashville has died.
Robert Barrett Wood, 33, of Nashville, died Monday afternoon, according to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
He was allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed when he ran a red light and crashed into the side of the truck around 11:30 p.m. near the intersection of 4th Ave. South and the I-40 exit ramp.
Wood was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in critical condition, and the driver of the truck was not injured, police said.
