Fire burns several acres at Williamson, Rutherford county line

BRENTWOOD, TN (WSMV) -

Crews from several agencies are battled a large brush fire Friday afternoon near the Williamson-Rutherford county line.

The Rutherford County Sheriff's Office reports at least six acres were on fire near Paw Paw Springs Road and Independent Hill Road.

A homeowner has been issued a citation for burning without a permit in the area, which includes undergrowth with lots of dry leaves.
