Giles Co. teacher charged with statutory rape

PULASKI, TN (WSMV) -

A high school teacher and coach is accused of crossing the line with a student.

The Giles County Grand Jury has indicted Joseph Dunavant.

According to The (Columbia) Daily Herald, our news partners, Dunavant is charged with statutory rape, stemming from a relationship with a 17-year-old female student.

Dunavant is listed on the Richland school website as a history teacher and football coach.
