Endangered child alert canceled

LAFAYETTE, TN (WSMV) -

Authorities have canceled the endangered child alert for three missing children in Macon County.

Clayton, Cadence and Olivia Summers went missing on Tuesday. Lafayette police thought they may have been taken by their non-custodial mother, Lashawna Summers.

Authorities say the children were scheduled to be put into their father's custody Wednesday morning, but all four disappeared before that happened.

The alert was canceled just before noon on Thursday and the children were safely recovered, according to an e-mail from the state.
