Metro council members set to vote on school bus hybrid upgrade - WSMV Channel 4

Some metro council members are pushing forward in their effort to upgrade city and school buses and ultimately save taxpayers gas money.
The council is set to vote tonight on resolutions that urge Mayor Karl Dean, the Metro Transit Authority and Metro Nashville Public Schools to replace their diesel buses with hybrid models.
Officials estimate this change would cut fuel expenses by about 30 percent.
