Couple, dog escape mobile home fire in West Nashville

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A fire broke out early Monday morning in West Nashville, destroying a home.

The fire occurred at about 5 a.m. on Burgess Avenue just off of White Bridge Road.

The woman and man who lived at the home were able to escape unhurt.

Fire investigators said they believe food on a stove caught fire.

The couple's dog also survived the blaze.
