Man shot, killed by bullets fired into car

The man found fatally wounded early today inside his Dodge Intrepid sedan off Claiborne Street in the J.C. Napier public housing development is identified as Calvin Bryan Beaudion, 45, of Peachtree Street, according to police.

Investigators said a passerby discovered Beaudion unresponsive inside the car at 12:30 a.m., unbuckled him for his seatbelt and attempted CPR. Beaudion was transported by ambulance to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Beaudion was known to frequently stop by J.C. Napier after work to visit a friend.

The investigation to this point shows that Beaudion was hit by shots fired into the car from outside. The motive has not been determined.

Anyone with information on the person or persons involved in the murder of Calvin Beaudion is urged to contact lead detective Johnny Crumby at 615-862-7727 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
