Police officer's gun and radio stolen

HERMITAGE, TN (WSMV) -

A police officer's gun and radio were stolen Friday night in Hermitage.

It happened around 9 p.m. on Lebanon Road. Police say someone broke into the officer's personal vehicle, and swiped a belt containing his service weapon and radio.

Police are still searching for the thief.
