HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Madison County sheriff's deputies are searching the Flint River for clues in last month's homicides of six people along the Tennessee-Alabama state line.
WAFF-TV reports a crew from the television station saw investigators pull something from the water on Friday morning. Later in the day, the investigators were using long sticks and paddles to search the water.
Three women and a toddler were found dead at two homes in Fayetteville, TN, on Oct. 22. The following day, authorities found the bodies of Jeffrey Pope and Warren Vincent Crutcher at separate locations in Madison County.
Police have said Crutcher had former or current relationships with the three women and was an acquaintance of the man.
No one has been charged in the case.
