A man was arrested Wednesday after police said he threatened his girlfriend with a knife and threw a 1-year-old child against a wall.
Clarksville police said at 5:15 p.m. they were called to a home on Nadia Drive regarding a domestic situation.
A man at the house, Patrick Winter, 31, had been drinking and threatened a woman and child with a knife. The woman had locked Winter outside and called police.
Winter's girlfriend said he grabbed her hand and twisted the wrist, causing some fingernails to break.
Winter was supposed to watch the child but passed out from consuming alcohol, at which time, the child had gotten into some medication, according to police.
Winter is accused of grabbing a knife, holding it against the woman's wrist and neck and threatening to kill her.
Police said he then grabbed the child and tossed her against a wall, causing abrasions to her forehead. She said he also punched a hole in the wall.
Winter is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, child abuse/neglect and vandalism. He's being held on $25,500 bond.
