Man acquitted in dorm fire admits to other charge

MURRAY, KY (WSMV) -

The man acquitted in the deadly 1998 Murray State University dorm fire now admits he tampered with evidence.

Jerry Walker Jr. pleaded guilty to that charge Wednesday in Calloway County.

A jury this summer found Walker not guilty for the arson that killed a Murray State student and injured several others.

Walker admitted writing six anonymous letters that attempted to place blame after the fire, according to the Paducah Sun.
