HOLLADAY, TN (WSMV) -
An wreck late Tuesday night on Interstate 40 in Benton County has claimed the life of driver.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said a semi and a car collided around 11 p.m.
The deceased driver of the car was identified as Jerry Mack Bell, 60, of Holladay, TN.
THP said Bell's Saturn was stopped on the right shoulder of I-40 westbound at about the 130 mile marker.
Bell's vehicle then made a sudden left turn into the path of the semi, which was traveling westbound and the two vehicles crashed.
A passenger in Bell's vehicle, Sharon Bell, was hurt in the wreck. The driver of the semi was not injured.
