NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
The most coveted trophy in women's college basketball could soon be named after legendary University of Tennessee coach Pat Summitt.
Megan Netland, a Lady Vols fan in Minneapolis, says Summitt is her hero and this season just won't be the same without her on the hardwood, so Netland started an online petition to urge the NCAA to name the women's college basketball championship trophy after Summitt.
Summitt, who now serves as the Lady Vols' head coach emeritus, is the winningest Division I basketball coach and led Tennessee to eight NCAA basketball championships during her 38 years on the bench.
More than 300 people have already signed it, but the petition needs a few thousand more people to join.
