Posted: Updated:
NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Veterans Day is Sunday, and there are plenty of ways across Middle Tennessee to honor those who served our country.

The Nashville Veterans Day parade begins at 12:30 p.m. and will proceed down Broadway from 14th Avenue to Third Avenue.

The viewing stand is located at the corner of Ninth Avenue and Broadway in front of the Federal Building.

Other Veterans Day events on Sunday, Nov. 11, include:

  • Lebanon parade at 10:30 a.m., from South Hatton Avenue, concluding with a ceremony at 11 a.m. in front of the Wilson County Courthouse.
  • La Vergne ceremony at the Veterans Memorial Park at 1 p.m. Events include a reading of the names of city employees who served in the military, a 21-gun salute and the playing of Taps.
  • Lawrenceburg parade begins at 2 p.m. at Coleman Memorial United Methodist Church. The theme is "Veterans: living, giving and caring."

Many other Veterans Day parades and events are listed on the Tennessee Department of Veterans Affairs website: http://www.tn.gov/veteran/vetdayevents.shtml.
