Family of murdered corrections officer offers reward

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Many questions remain in the case of a corrections officer who was killed outside her apartment Aug. 24.

The victim's family is now offering a reward in hopes of finding her killer.

Dalia Gutierrez-Sanchez, 43, worked at Riverbend Prison.  She was shot outside her apartment at 371 Wallace Rd. in south Nashville.

Authorities said she was approached by a gunman after parking her car outside her apartment building just after 10:30 p.m.

Investigators believe robbery was the motive for the crime.

The family of Gutierrez-Sanchez is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the crime. This reward is effective for 30 days.

Crime Stoppers is also offering a $1,000 reward.
