CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
Clarksville police who were investigating an alleged domestic assault incident Wednesday also found a working moonshine still inside the suspect's residence.
Matthew Walter, 30, is charged with domestic assault and additional charges for the still are pending, police said.
Officers arrived to Walter's home on Sonja Drive, where Walter had been in a physical confrontation with his girlfriend. During the alleged incident, Walter received an injury above his left eye.
Near the kitchen of the home, officers spotted the still, five buckets of corn mash, 44 jars of finished product and other manufacturing paraphernalia. Police said Walter apparently sells the moonshine to coworkers.
Walter was booked on $5,000 bond.
