Former detective Ron Killings faces new charges

MURFREESBORO, TN (WSMV) -

A former Rutherford County Sheriff's detective, who was involved in a fatal wreck three years ago, is now facing new charges.

Former Rutherford County Deputy Ron Killings is accused of domestic violence against his girlfriend.

Killings was involved in a crash that killed 11-year-old Lakeisha White in 2009. The detective hit the young girl while driving along Bradyville Pike.

He was acquitted of reckless homicide charges in the child's death.
