NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A freeze warning is in effect for most of Middle Tennessee from 4-8 a.m. Wednesday as the remnants of Hurricane Sandy continues to bring cold air to the area.

Temperatures in low-lying locations and across the Cumberland Plateau are expected to drop below freezing early Wednesday.

Sensitive vegetation left outdoors will likely be damaged or killed.

High temperatures Wednesday will reach the upper 50s, and warmer weather is expected for the end of the week.
