TN candidate is worst of 2012, says Washington Post

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A U.S. Senate candidate from Tennessee is making national headlines for the wrong reasons.

The Washington Post named Mark Clayton, Tennessee's Democratic nominee for Senate, the worst candidate of 2012.

The Post cites Clayton's lack of campaigning, fundraising and headquarters as minor reasons why he topped their list.

Contributing to their decision was Clayton's role as vice president of an organization deemed a hate group, his advocacy of conspiracy theories and the Democratic Party's complete disavowal of him.
