NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
Metro police are investigating after a man was found shot in the back Tuesday evening in the Edgehill area of south Nashville.
The victim, whose identity has not been released, was shot about 7 p.m. in the 1200 block of Hillside Avenue.
He was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
Officers are searching for a suspect in connection with the shooting. He is described as a black male, approximately 5'8" and was last seen with dreadlocks and wearing an orange shirt.
Detectives said a motive is unknown, but the investigation continues.
