A man was found dead inside a home on Ortega Circle.
HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Huntsville Police found a man shot to death in a home on Ortega Circle around 1 a.m. Tuesday.
A woman inside the home at 5102 Ortega Circle called 911. When officers arrived on the scene, they found Jeffrey Pope dead from a gunshot wound to the chest.
According to investigators with the TBI, this shooting is connected to Monday's murders in Lincoln County, Tennessee. Three woman and a child were found dead in to separate homes. Investigators are searching for Warren Crutcher in connection with that case.
Investigators said three men, dressed in all black were seen running from the house right after the shooting.
K-9 units were in the area looking for those men overnight.
No one is in custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
