A group calling itself Operation WAVE took to the Davidson County Election Commission on Saturday to warn college students about a portion of the Tennessee voter ID law they might not be aware of.
Under the law, a student ID is not an accepted form of identification to vote.
The group talked to young voters to make sure they understood the law and it questioned the law excluding student IDs as well.
Organizer Marilyn Brown said, "It's a state issued ID, I mean, students ought to be able to use their ID just like anybody else able to use any other ID."
