CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV-AP) -

Police in Clarksville said a woman got a rude surprise while waiting to pick up her son at the bus stop - an egg to the head.

According to the Leaf-Chronicle, the woman was waiting to pick up the boy Thursday when her ex-husband, Michael McKelvey, 38, lobbed an egg at her in a dispute over where the woman parked.

McKelvey told officers he warned his ex-wife not to park in front of his apartment when she picked up the child, so he threw an egg at her car.

Police said the egg struck the woman and spilled onto the child.

McKelvey was taken into custody for domestic assault.

He remained in the Montgomery County jail Saturday.

His bond was set at $500.
