NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
A man suspected of operating scams in at least four states was arrested Thursday in Williamson County in an undercover sting operation.
Sidney Allan Jeffords, 33, was arrested and charged with theft of more than $1,000 and being a fugitive from justice.
Jeffords, who also uses the name Al Jones, is accused of using Craigslist to contact people who post they are looking for rental property.
Police said this week he took a couple to a local property which he said he owned, but did not, and attempted to collect money for a rental agreement.
The sheriff's office said they believe there may be others who are victims of Jeffords scams in Williamson County and Middle Tennessee.

Jeffords is being held on $150,000 bond. He's scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 25.
