A former student of a local high school is in hot water after police say he used Facebook to make a bomb threat.

The Tittabawassee Township Police Department received information that someone had just posted in his Facebook status that he was going to "Blow up Freeland High School at Midnight."

Police said the post was made at 3:16 p.m. on Oct. 17. Freeland High School officials were immediately notified of the threat. Officers responded to the suspect's residence where he was taken into custody.

Police said the suspect, who they have identified as Evan Patrick Mohn, 17, of Freeland, admitted to officers that he used his iPhone to make the threat and his phone was then confiscated for evidence. Authorities said Mohn's residence was searched for evidence related to the threats with no results.

During questioning, investigators said Mohn stated he was angry with school administrative staff because of past events when he was a student at the high school. Police said no bomb was actually made and Mohn never intended to bomb the school. Mohn was taken to the Saginaw County Jail where he remained until he was arraigned Thursday afternoon.

Authorities said Mohn will be charged with making a false bomb threat, a four-year felony, and using a computer to commit a felony, a seven-year felony.

Police said Mohn is not a current student of Freeland High School. TV5 later learned Mohn dropped out of school when he turned 17.

TV5's Liz Gelardi was in the courtroom Thursday afternoon for Mohn's arraignment and Tweeted that the teen was wearing a T-shirt that read, "Sexy & I know it." The judge banned Mohn from using Facebook and Twitter while the case is pending.

It's unknown if Mohn posted bond, which was set at $20,000.
