LEBANON, TN (WSMV) -
A crash on Interstate 40 East in Wilson County, near Lebanon, closed lanes of traffic for several hours Thursday morning.
A 2001 Chrysler Sebring was traveling westbound on I-40 when it crossed the center median and ran underneath the edge of a tractor-trailer traveling eastbound about 6 a.m. just past exit 245 for Linwood Road, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
The driver of the Sebring, Brian Haston, 21, of Cookeville, was injured and transported by LifeFlight helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
His condition has not been released.
The driver of the tractor-trailer, Patrick Cole, 45, of Raeford, NC, was not injured. The trailer, registered to Werner Trucking Company, of Nebraska, was hauling dry goods, THP said.
