NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
A 73-year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in Old Hickory, said Metro police.
The wreck, involving a car and van, occurred just before 6 a.m. at Old Hickory Boulevard near Industrial Drive.
Police said the victim in the car, identified as Janice Farr, and had just dropped some people off at a nearby golf course.
Farr, who was driving her 2007 Mazda sedan, attempted to turn left onto Old Hickory Boulevard from the Riverside Golf Center when an eastbound Chevrolet Express van struck the driver's side of the Mazda, said police.
Farr was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene.
Neither the driver of the van, George Straughn, 52, of Old Hickory, nor his passenger were injured.
