NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Nashville Fire Station 11 is moving today while the existing station is demolished and rebuilt.

The station at 1745 18th Avenue North is being relocated while construction is under way for the next several months.

Temporary assignments include: Station 11's pumper relocating to Station 24 on Clarksville Highway, and Medic 11 will temporarily relocate to Station 2 on Second Avenue North.

The replacement fire hall is part of a Capital Project approved by the Metro Council and Mayor Karl Dean.

An anticipated completion date is set for sometime in 2013.
