NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
Police said a 20-year-old woman found unresponsive in a backyard hot tub late Thursday night in Hermitage likely died from suicide.
Authorities originally said Bridgett Combs-Holt, 20, accidentally drowned, but detectives said she sustained a gunshot wound to the head and a suicide note was located. A pistol was also found in the hot tub after it was drained.
The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. in the 3000 block of East Lake Drive near Percy Priest.
